LOS ANGELES TIMES EXTRA EDITION !!!!!
THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1962 NEWSPAPER OF THE LOS ANGELES TIMES DECLARING MARILYN'S DEATH FROM PILLS. IT IS THE EXTRA EDITION FROM MONDAY AUGUST 6,1962. THE CONDITION IS GOOD, BUT BECAUSE IT IS 44 YEARS OLD, THERE IS YELLOWING OF THE PAGES. THIS IS THE ENTIRE NEWSPAPER AS IT WAS SOLD ON THAT DAY. IT IS A RARE FIND BOTH PAPERS
LOS ANGELES TIMES
This is an original AUGUST 6,1962 Los Angeles Times with Marilyn's picture on the front page and thru out the newspaper. This is a complete newspaper with no tears in paper, just aging around the edges. You don't find this often so complete!!!
BOTH PAPERS Marilyn Speaks: Her Own Words in Last Weeks.”
The irony of this NY Daily News headline for 14 August 1962 is both haunting and
heart breaking. The cover photo is purportedly the “last photo” of Marilyn ever
taken. (The work of photographer George Barris.)
This extraordinary edition of the New York Daily News is in truly superior
condition. This newspaper has been handled very little and has never been
creased. The paper has yellowed somewhat with age, but is strong and supple.
The interior spread (which I did not photograph) features photos of a joyful
Marilyn, quoted as saying, only a scant month-and-a-half before her death, that
the “happiest time of my life is now.” The interior feature article (which I did
not photograph), entitled “Twilight of a Star,” consists of a full-page
interview with Marilyn.

slightest bit of margin wear.
The Anaheim Bulletin (News Section)
dated December 15, 1966,The same day as his death. The News section is 8 pages and has two complete
stories regarding Walt's death. This is one collectible that is really hard to
find. I know I wouldn't have it if I hadn't grown up in the shadow of
Disneyland, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.
Newspaper is in good condition with normal
fold marks and yellowing from being over 40 years old. The Paper is beginning to wear
through at the folds and and has been placed in a frame or some other to

NEWSPAPER WITH THE HEADLINE; 3 ASTRONAUTS KILLED AND JANUARY 28, 1967 DAYTONA
BEACH MORNING JOURNAL WITH THE HEADLINE; ALL THREE APOLLO ASTRONAUTS DIE AS
SPACE CRAFT BURNS. The loss of Gus Grissom, Edward White and Roger Chaffee has
been somewhat lost in history since the Challenger disaster but I can still
remember the stories told to me from a friend of the family who worked on the
environmental support systems for the Apollo program. His description of that
day, the sounds and the sight never left him. Upon reading the articles the
incident is brought vividly to life in these two papers.
Each paper has the half fold crease with the expected age discoloration. The Daytona paper shows some small tears along the edges and a 1" torn hole near outer edge at the fold crease.

The main news of the issue was tragic death of the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin and his flight partner Vladimir Seregin.
The fact that makes the issue even more valuable is that newspaper “Prizyv” was a local newspaper of the Vladimir region, the very region where the tragic incident took place.

NEIL STEPS ON THE MOON" WAPAKONETA HEADLINE
Wapakoneta, Ohio, July 21, 1969.
* Best issue to have on this historic event
* Neil Armstrong's hometown newspaper
A great issue on this significant event as this newspaper is
from Neil Armstrong's hometown. Typically
issues of this date carried a headline "Man Walks On Moon" but this hometown
newspaper personalized the report honoring their local hero with "Neil Steps On
The Moon". This is likely the only newspaper in the country with such a
headline, and not being able to have a newspaper from where the event happened,
this would be the next best thing! The front page photo shows Neil's parents.
The issue is complete in 10 pages and is in excellent condition. A very scarce
issue given the limited press run from such a small town.

June 8, 1969 On that day President Richard Nixon and President Thieu from
South Vietnam met on Midway Island to discuss the pullout of troops from
Vietnam. At 10 a.m. Air Force One touched down and shortly afterwards President
Nguyen Van Theiu's plane landed from Vietnam.
President Nixon and South Vietnamese President
Nguyen Van Thieu meet at Midway Island in the Pacific. At the meeting, Nixon
announced that 25,000 U.S. troops would be withdrawn by the end of August. Nixon
and Thieu emphasized that South Vietnamese forces would replace U.S. forces.
Along with this announcement of the first U.S. troop withdrawal, Nixon discussed
what would become known as "Vietnamization." Under this new policy, Nixon
intended to initiate steps to increase the combat capability of the Republic of
Vietnam Armed Forces so that the South Vietnamese would eventually be able to
assume full responsibility for the war.
What follows in "The Islander" is a
four page description of the events and activities of that
day which would lead the the eventual ending of the Vietnam war. Paper is an
original of what was supplied to each of us that day. President Nixon's
signature is on the bottom of the front page. He would have signed the original
paper and what we received were all copies of that document.

The Egyptian Gazette first appeared on 26 January 1880 smack in the middle of an Egyptian financial crisis. Its five founders: Messrs. Edmund Carver, Charles Frederick Moberly Bell, John Ross, Andrew Victor Philip and Charles Royle were respectively a cotton trader, the London Times manager, a shipping magnate, an editor and a barrister. Out of this financial crisis came a 72-year British military occupation with three decades of strident economic and agricultural reforms. The era of the Anglo-Egyptian had arrived-that cadre of self-important civil servants who oiled the bureaucratic wheels that ran the growing British-run Egyptian administration. Consequently, the Egyptian Gazette became the principle vehicle for discussion of business and economic matters, and the dissemination of British policy in Egypt. Includes advertisements for Volkswagen Bug and commercial vehicles, Citibank, and Lufthansa Airlines. Headlines and conflicts covered in 1979 are again reflected in today's newspaper headlines. Overall in VERY GOOD condition with normal wear to edges, but crisp, clean, and tight
